This remodel done in the Bridger Hills was updating a 35 year old kitchen. The original kitchen was dark and closed off, cabinets hung from the ceiling over a peninsula creating this dark cave. You couldn’t see out the windows to the amazing view of the valley while in the kitchen. The new kitchen is completely custom. The perimeter & island is a rustic red oak with custom paint and glazing. The buffet is a custom stain on premium alder with a custom green paint from Sherwin Williams for the top cabinets. We spread the brown stain through out the kitchen to add some color and add some character to a few places, such as the appliance hutch and above the refrigerators. The island was especially challenging due to the amount of appliances we have. Figuring out venting and how it all goes together was quite challenging. The other challenge on the island was the raised live edge wood countertop. Planning cabinet layout for proper structure inside the cabinetry was another hurdle.
